She's Memphis Minnie. I found an arcticle from Greenville Ms dated - September 6, 1940. In this article, Minnie states that she is the same MINNIE WALLACE that lived in Greenville some 12 years earlier. At 500 Ohea Street that she rented from a mistah ehrlich. That would make a date of roughly 1928. I checked the 1930 census and found her at that location, as she said. It shows her as being born in 1911. They played slow blues, pop songs, humorous songs and upbeat dance numbers with jazz and string band flavors. The band made the first commercial music recordings in Memphis, and recorded more sides than any other pre-war jug band.[2] Memphis Jug Band Beginning in 1926, various African-American musicians in the Memphis, Tennessee, area grouped around singer, songwriter, guitarist, and harmonica player Will Shade (also known as Son Brimmer or Sun Brimm
