Mimis was born in Greece in March, 1988. He is influenced by the work of contemporary musicians such as Manos Hadjidakis, Ennio Morricone, Gustavo Santaolalla, Alberto Iglesias, Yann Tiersen, Max Richter. Currently working as a composer for theatre and motion picture. In 2017 he released his debut album “Deviation” in an attempt to convey his personal experiences without using words at all. In 2018 he formed the Mimis Nikolopoulos Band and started to appear live on stage, performing a repertoire of mostly instrumental melodies intertwined with songs from around the world.
