Mimbulus Mimbletonia is an Australian wizard rock project. Inspired after hearing 'Snape', by The Remus Lupins, Matt decided to begin his own wizard rock band to help the spread of wizard rock to Australia. After writing a few songs, he recorded them on his webcam and released them through MySpace in November 2007. In April 2008, Mimbulus Mimbletonia was revived, with an announcement that all the songs were being re-written, some new ones were ready to be unveiled, and an album was on the way. That album will be called 'Advanced Defence Mechanisms', and will be available for free download. It is expected to be released anytime within 2008. Well, it was expected to be 2008. It is now September 2011 and Advanced Defence Mechanisms has finally been released. If you want it, go get it: http://mmwizardrock.bandcamp.com. It's a free download or a cheap (and gorgeous) physical copy. MM are one of Australia's oldest wizard rock bands, and has appeared on every Wrockin' Down Under compilation to date, This Album Is Not A Horcrux, Wrock Hard Ditties charity compilation, and others. An outtakes album, Vegetation Wizard Rock: The Outtakes was released in September 2011 and it also available for free from the Bandcamp site.
