A post-rock band from Fernandina Beach, Florida from 2006-2009. Born from the ashes of Green Apple Tasty and The Disco Flintstones, Millard Fillmore wrecked the fuck out of shit for a couple years. It was said in many circles that whenever the band would play at Cafe Nexus with the most interesting band on earth, Bernard, they definitely upstaged them every chance they got. You could find them lying about the nature of their sparse but important lyrics, in order to play Christian venues. At said venues, vocalist/bassist Patrick Ryan Wells could be seen and most definitely heard, telling audience members if they didn't come close, he'd slit his own wrists on stage. With aptly named songs such as Intro, Outro, Fast song, and Epic song, it seemed the band had an eye for creativity. In their earlier years, they rarely had every piece of equipment needed to complete a show, so borrowing wasn't just a once-in-awhile affair, it was a necessity. Later in MF's career, they began to garner somewhat of a following. The pressure became too much and post-rock became too boring, so the band decided to call it quits. A very abrupt end for the purveyors of a generation, some members went on to new bands, some members went on to live in different countries, but they all look back with deep regret that such a project didn't have more left in the tank.
