Formed in August of 2004, MILITARY JUNIOR is a St. Petersburg, FL based three-piece Alternative Rock band, sometimes also classified as Indie-math-rock. Over the past 10 years, all three members of Military Junior have pounded the local music scene in such bands as Chalkpeople, Brainiacs Daughter, and various incarnations thereof with enthusiasm and moderate success. After a few years of mixing and matching members in various bands, lead singer and guitarist Jason Schultz approached long-time friends Eric Glinsboeckel (Bass) and Bryce Munger (drums) with a few song ideas which immediately caught everyones attention. After a few rehearsals, it became clear that this trio could work together perfectly in song writing, composing, and playing. Although the members of MILITARY JUNIOR dont believe in comparing themselves to other bands, their music has been sided with Indie bands such as MeWithoutYou, Minus The Bear, Slint, Squirrel Bait, and more commercial bands like Toad the Wet Sprocket. MILITARY JUNIORs debut CD, When You Get Lost On Those Brick Streets, contains a masterful collection of melodies, including signature songs such as Authority and Test of Time which were written in non-traditional time signatures. In addition, this album represents a mix of upbeat and powerful, as well as slow and dynamic. In order to set them apart from the mainstream, MILITARY JUNIOR strives to achieve one primary goal: diversity. MILITARY JUNIOR is currently playing around Central Florida
