Artist
Mike Ireland was one of the founding members of the Kansas City-based alt-country band, The Starkweathers, who recorded a critically acclaimed EP on Sup-Pop in the early 90s. Soon thereafter, the band abruptly broke up due to a personal confict, and Ireland went on to found Holler, an under-appreciated country act that played venues from The Hideout in Chicago to the Grande Ole Opry in Nashville. Learning How to Live (Subpop, 1998) is Holler's major album. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
