Born in the Bronx, NY and raised in the hamlet of Pearl River, NY, the singer songwriter has recently finished recording his debut CD entitled "The Search". The songs are personal, poetic and poignant representing the artist's perspective on relationships, loss, and the struggle to find ones self. After moving to New York City in the spring of 1996, Acerbo met Geoffrey Kiorpes (pianist, composer, arranger) and Leah Coloff (cellist, composer, arranger). The two had what he lacked: formal musical training. Together they helped Mike to formulate his raw talent into a more cohesive sound and fully realize the vision he had for his music. Vocal and personal problems derailed his initial attemps at recording and he abandoned his musical pursuits in 2003 for a "real job". In the summer of 2009 he recorded a demo of the song "Robbie" written about a childhood friend who passed away. The experience inspired him to return to the studio and record "The Search".
