"Mika Martini" is the solo electronic music proyect of Hugo Espinosa Chellew (Chile, 1967). Founder of Pueblo Nuevo Netlabel. He studies architecture and majors in Design at Universidad Católica de Chile. Espinosa's work ranges from video clips direction to 3-D animation, standard / multimedia graphic design, and web design, which he has performed during the last five years for a very important chilean firm. After his participation in the chilean electronic group "Usted No!", as "Mika Martini", Espinosa starts a solo music work in early 2004, centered on the mixing of sound sources coming from our ethnic/aboriginal chilean background with abstract sound materials, associated with microsampling techniques and minimal style. On October 2004, Mika joins "TallerElectro", an e-group by Comunidad Electroacústica de Chile [CECH] that looks for generation, promotion, and forming of new electroacustic and acousmatics composers. With Pueblo Nuevo partner/founder Daniel Jeffs, Mika forms the experimental music / electronic live improvisation duo "Chiste".
