Miek & Roel are a Belgian (Dutch-speaking) duo consisting of Monique Holvoet (Ghent, February 12, 1944 - ) and Roel Van Bambost (Ghent, December 4, 1942 - ). They gained success in the genre of "Kleinkunst" (literally: "small art(-music)") with their socially aware lyrics and wrote classics such as "Jij en ik", "Wie wil horen", "Het verdronken land land van Saeftinge", "De grote revolutie" and "Jan met de pet".
