Midnight Wire are a four piece Indie/Rock band based in Leicester - previously compared to the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, The Libertines and The Clash. 2012 and 2013 have been fantastic years for the band since forming in September 2011. Their debut single 'Oh Lola' was released worldwide in February to a great reception from critics and receiving national radio play. They have completed two 35 date UK headline tours (in venues such as 02 Academies, the prestigious 100 Club in London, the Cavern in Liverpool and many more). Recent shows have seen them also appear on Carl Barat, Gary Numan and Chris McCormacks London clubnight 'Jubilee' at the Camden Barfly - as well as a slot at the Brixton Jamm as part of Alt J's most recent tour. Midnight Wire have previously secured slots on the likes of Summer Sundae Festival, Strawberry Fields Festival, Riverside Festival and headline slots at Oxjam Islington and Oxjam Hackney. Midnight Wire were also crowned the 2012 winners of the Original Band Showcase and have received major backing from the likes of BBC Introducing since they formed. It is no wonder they have been tipped as the next big thing to come out of Leicester. The debut album will be available March 2014.
