Mickey Lightfoot (ML) reigns from a heritage that has its earliest recording dating back to the 12th Century. He is a member of the Akan diaspora, a people know for their rhythm, poetry, fabrics, gold, and fighting spirit. No wonder his great grandfather, managed to survive being a prisoner of WWII, his parents rejected the cards they were dealt, and he remains hell bent on defying the odds of humble beginnings. A proud South London Brit he is the child of Comfort Akuse a once seamstress for Vivienne Westwood and father Alex Amponsah a pioneering West African political radical.
