Singer/Songwriter/Recording Artist Michia Monique Donald was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 2, 1979. At a young age her vocal talent was recognized and nourished by her parents. In 1999 she began a journey that led her to various opportunities to work with renowned artists and performers from around the world. Through these experiences she developed and perfected her vocal talent. It was in 1999 that she moved to Japan where she lived for 10 years. During this time Michia performed with a variety of artists and worked with numerous studios. Some of the artists and groups included the U.S. group Boys 2 Men (TV show Atsushi Premium Live Japan), Cece Peniston (Tokyo), Marc Evans (Tokyo), Ashanti (Tour Tokyo & Fukuoka), Stevie Wonder (K-1), John Legend (Live with AI), Bobby Lyle & Duke Jones (Jz Brat live opening for Cafe Soul Records), Olivia, Ray J and Latoya (Opening MI), local bands Randy Scott (Jazz band Detroit), Crowd Pleasers (band MI), Umoja (band MI), Flavah (Michia's band Tokyo), Think Alike( Michia's band Tokyo). Japanese artist such as Maki Oguro, Atsushi, Ai, and Koda Kumi. Chinese artist Jane Zhang (tour China), Mc Donald’s commercial (Hong Kong) and Michia has recorded songs with record labels such as Sony, Victor and King Records Japan. Michia has also performed in venues & clubs in Asia and the United States and first-class hotels such as Sheraton, Marriott and Intercontinental.
