Artist
Blas Sarmiento, singer composer and saxophone player, was born in the Cartagena province of Colombia. Climaco Sarmiento, his father, clarinetist and saxophonist himself for both Lucho Bermudez and Pacho Galan orquesters, would later become one of the in-house arrangers at Discos Fuentes which published all of Michi's records. The Combo Bravo is considered one of the pioneers of salsa in Colombia in the late 60's early 70's.
