Michelle Darkness is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Germany best known for fronting End of Green – one of the most popular and long-standing local gothic metal acts, where he sings and plays one of the three guitars. He also provides vocals for an underground gothic rock band Bury Me Deep which was known as die fuge before 2009. In 2006 Michelle embarked on a mission to record a solo album, moving to Helsinki to capture the city's gloomy atmosphere. This endeavour resulted in Brand new Drug for which he wrote all music and lyrics and played all the instruments. Being active in several bands since the early 90s, Michelle Darkness is among the most prolific and recognizable figures in German gothic scene.
