Most recently known for composing the score to Terminator Zero (Netflix), Michelle Birsky is a composer, artist, and music producer based in Los Angeles who specializes in nontraditional, electro-acoustic film scores. Michelle graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in music before moving to New York and forming a synth pop band called Birch. After years of performing under the moniker Birch, and releasing her debut LP femme.one, Michelle began scoring indie films and fell in love with the process of film composition. In 2020, Michelle moved to LA and was accepted into the Society of Composer and Lyricists mentorship program alongside a small number of up and coming composers. She now lives in Los Angeles with her husband (and co-composer) Kevin Henthorn, and their cat Wednesday. Through her music and film composition, Michelle seeks to tell stories that broaden minds and raise the female voice.
