MICHELE GAZICH (www.michelegazich.it) is an Italian musician, songwriter, composer and producer. His stile on his main instrument, the violin, is immediately recognizable and personal. He graduated in Torino at the Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Verdi and played in orchestras and chamber music groups all over the world. In the 90s he left the classic music scene and became a professor at the University and gave courses about music and poetry. From 1992 onwards he played many live concerts and recorded albums with American folk and blues artists like Eric Andersen , Mary Gauthier , John Hammond , Mark Olson (The Jayhawks ), Tom Russell , Michelle Shocked and Victoria Williams . He also composed music for the theatre, for instance "Il Sogno del Fuoco" (1998), produced by the Piccolo Teatro di Milano/Teatro d’Europa and "Elogio della Follia" (2001), "Un Cantico" (2007). He played on the soundtrack of the movie "Le ragioni dell'aragosta" (2007) by Sabina Guzzanti. He collaborated with the Italian singer/songwriter Massimo Bubola and produced two albums for Luigi Maieron : "Si Vîf" (2002) and "Une Primavere" (2007) and recorded "Rolling Live" (2 CD + DVD; 2010) and "Folkrock" (2012) with Massimo Priviero . He also played on the album "Il cîl da l’Irlande" (2003) by La Sedon Salvadie, where he played with The Chieftains and Carlos Nuñez .
