Michael Pinnella is a keyboardist from New Jersey and was a founding and current member of Symphony X. In 2004, he released his first and only solo album entitled "Enter By The Twelfth Gate." Raised in a musically inclined family, he would start playing at age of four and was influenced by classical composers like Mozart, Bach, and Chopin. He would later study music theory and composition in college and develop an appreciation for the Progressive Rock and Metal genres. While working at a local music store in 1994, he met guitarist Michael Romeo who was looking for a keyboard player for his new band Symphony X.
