Born and raised in Newport News, Virginia. In 1987, he was chosen to perform for Queen Elizabeth II in the Royal Variety Show in London. His first stage role was in 1985 when he landed the starring role in "Tecumseh" in Ohio. The production was so low budget, that he had to live in a tent with three other guys during the entire run. Has two daughters; Kathleen Rose and Fiona Marie, ages 9 and 11. Likes to restore craftsman-style homes in his spare time.
