Artist
Michael Jo Mayer is an industrial/experimental/stream-of-consciousness artist. He, with a dysthymic eye, draws on life misexperiences from Omaha, LexVegas, New Orleans, Detroit, and Sandusky. An avid reader of strange material, Michael Jo's lyrics (when understandable) can sometimes leave listeners scrambling for the nearest dictionary, fanzine, or medium. Michael Jo Mayer was a regular open-mic ranter at Kilgore's in Omaha from 1994 to 1996, when he worked as a bacteriological and microbiological lab tech at Raven Biological Laboratories. During this time, he bonded a semi-friendship (Michael Jo claims to be uncapable of true friendship, for he is an undying narcissist and cynic) with Conor Obert, resulting in some pseudonymous appearances on each other's material.
