Artist
There are several different artists called Michael Allen. Feel free to add info for some of the others. 1. Michael Allen was a young beat / R&B singer from the United Kingdom who, in early 1965, made several appearances at Liverpool's Cavern Club, backed by Earl Preston's Realms and The Richmond Group. Allen, who was just 17 at the time, contributed four tracks to the 1965 compilation LP, 'Liverpool Today - Live at the Cavern'. These were, as a matter of fact, not live recordings, but studio tracks with the voice of Cavern DJ Bob Wooller and audience applause being added later. Michael Allen later moved to London and released albums for Decca (For the Love of Mike, 1970) and MGM (Something Special, 1971).
