Micah and Katie adopted the band name Folded Notes in December 2008 although they have not recorded any new material under this name yet. Streamable tracks are available on myspace.com under that name. http://www.myspace.com/micahkatie Micah and Katie became friends in 6th grade in 2001 and ever since then have collaborated to make music using a smoothie like blend of their sultry voices, one sexy red guitar, and other instruments and non-instruments for taste. They started out making songs for school talent shows at Flowing Wells High School, where they won several awards over the years including second place for their song "Brunenkant" which was dedicated to their principal. There was a brief controversy over whether this was an attempt to gain an unfair advantage, but the band claims that they decided backstage to name the song after the first person they saw when they got out on stage. Police are still investigating this mystery, though their second place title is irrevokable. Now that they attend different colleges, Micah and Katie stick mainly to at-home recording and private, spontaneous performances for their friends and family. Micah and Katie have a unique music style that incorporates influences from Rock, Blues, Soul, Folk, Psychadellic, Comedy, and other genres. Thier songs' vast lyrical content often portrays abstract visions, familiar situations, irony, satire, and cultural and ethical issues.
