Mièle is born in 1999, when Stéphane Daubersy and Catherine De Biasio met, who composed the first drafts of their french songs. When they are joined by Grégory Remy they win a contest organized by Radio 21 (today Pure FM) and their song is present on the compilation "the 5 hours" Thanks to the digital recorder that they win, they carry out their first demo. They start receiving positive echoes in the French-speaking alternative media (Rif-Raf, Mofo, Radio Campus...) and they start playing festivals (Festivals FSAFA, Dour Festival, Fêtes of the Music, Francofolies de Spa...). In 2002, while a new musician (Franck Baya) integrates the group, Mièle gains the first price of the contest "Song to the Frenchwoman" In 2003, the group is classified second in a Contest Circuit, wich the Hollywood Porn Stars win. The musicians also take part in other musical projects (Françoiz Breut, Ghinzu, Morning Star, Melon Galia, Hank Harry and Lovely Cow-boy Orchestrated, Minerale). During the year 2004, Mièle records it's first album simply called Mièle, In the autumn of 2005, they entrust the mixing of the pieces to Pierre Vervloesem (Deus, Mad Dog Loose, etc), and in March 2006, the album is recorded with the young Belgian label Humpty Dumpty. Today, Mièle has a new bass player-guitarist, Mathieu Pomès.
