According to the man behind Metrophobia, “… it was just a matter of being inspired by decent electronic mixes.” In post-Soviet Russia, with the sudden influx of music from the West, Metrophobia started thinking of the possibilities to create and collect his own sounds. The idea was to re-interpret his surroundings and glue his influences into his compositions. And as soon as he had the opportunity, he purchased a recording device, microphone and DAW.
