Metrofique is the collaboration of two songwriters from two of San Diego's most original and creative bands. Steven Bradford, bassist, vocalist, and frontman of the rising band Get Back Loretta, and Gabe Lehner, guitarist and vocalist of the eclectic indie group, Jack The Original, decided to team up in 2007 for a side project. Calling themselves Metrofique, the two wanted to write and record songs together that were more mellow, simple, and acoustic-based than what either did in their respective bands. Their songwriting styles instantly clicked, and they have been putting together what is going to be their first album, titled "Swing For Fences," all recorded at Gabe's home studio in Encinitas, CA. Look for the album to be finished sometime in mid 2009, and look for great things to come from them in the future.
