Yes, you guessed it, it is a collaboration between Swedish musician Nordvargr, of Toroidh and Folkstorm fame, among many others, and Merzbow, which is Japanese musician Masami Akita. Nordvargr is the most commonly used nom de plume for Swedish musician Henrik Björkk. Björkk started his career in 1989, as part of electronic act Pouppée Fabrikk and death industrial combo Maschinenzimmer 412 (later Mz.412). In parallel to his band activities, he has pursued a solo career with a vast amount of record releases. Nordvargr has collaborated with several other prolific artists from the noise, industrial and extreme metal scenes. Merzbow (メルツバウ) is an extreme experimental music project created in Tokyo in 1979 under the direction of musician Masami Akita (秋田昌美) and is recognized as being one of the earliest projects in what has become known as the 'Japanese noise scene'. Highly prolific, Merzbow has released over 300 CDs, LPs and cassettes since 1979. He has also collaborated with countless of other artists as well. It was mastered April 2004 at Studio Nar Mattaru by Siegfried Meinertz. "Partikel II" is a collaboration album that was recorded and mixed at Bedroom, Tokyo and Villa Bohult, Sweden, between June and September 2005. The album was released as a digipack CD
