Artist
Austin, TX (2003 β present) Meryll formed in Austin, Texas in 2003 as a 4-piece rock band, but has evolved into the solo vehicle for recording engineer/touring sound-man Andrew Hernandez. 2009 saw the release of "Rimziate," his poppiest album to date, produced by Jason Martin of Starflyer 59. This was followed by a European tour supporting Balmorhea, and a subsequent move to Chicago to work as a house engineer at Soma Electronic Music Studios. 2010 brought the "Natchitoches" EP, a hushed nylon-string affair, followed by "The Party On The North Face," another EP, this time with Tim Kinsella manning the board. The 6th Meryll record entitled "Haunts, Volume 1: The Palace" was released in 2012, followed by a U.S. tour supporting Victor Villarreal.
