Merging Beats is a computer-related play on words: the name comes from merging bits, parts of binary code that combine information in CD-ROM encoding. Like coding, Merging Beats seeks to unite beats, rhythms, and people through their alternative rock music. The band was formed in Milan in 2018 and spent the first few years searching for their sound, writing their first songs, and starting to perform on Lombard stages. In May 2022, their first EP, Easy Play, produced and recorded by Gianluca Guidetti, was released. This work led them to define a raw and energetic sound, a refined and intense rock contaminated by almost progressive structures and metal riffs. Their music balances gritty hard rock and metal riffs with powerful and melodic vocals, ranging from visceral crossover to more intimate and personal moments, with the goal of always remaining authentic.
