Mercury Sun are an original indie rock band hailing from the misty mountain of Toowoomba, South East Queensland Australia. The band members include Ash Benham (Vox, Slide) Louis Reen (Vox, Guitar) Adam Heathcote (Bass) and Anthony Reimers (Drums). Rising out of a strong local scene the band, who formed in late 2012, have quickly established themselves locally by playing support shows with touring artists such as British India, Trouble With Templeton and Major Leagues. The bands music has been met with enthusiasm by fans with their first release a live track titled "Steal My Soul" entering into the top 20 on Triple J Unearthed in early 2013. This has given the band an opportunity to take their music to bigger venues and play their own headline shows in Brisbane and abroad. After fine tuning their set on the road during a string of shows in August 2013, the band will enter the studio in September to record their debut EP. 2. Mercury Sun is a norwegian progressive heavy metal band from Horten, Norway. Formed by drummer Tom Christian Tverbakk and bassplayer Fredrik Kongstein. Later on Joakim Jöreng (vocals), Thomas Toft (guitar) and Daniel Høgås (guitar) joined the band. They have now gotten three demos out, and they're working with new material. More to come..
