Mentally Retarded Friend was born when Beertray died. After Beertray broke up, Krist decided to get it on again, but this time with a whole different style of music. MRF consists of three dudes: Jeroen Baltus (we all know him from Monkey beats Donkey and ex-E-117) is the singer and plays the guitar, Wouter Reijnders (known from Telefoob) plays the bass and Krist Spoelstra (Vyllanore and ex-Beertray) has a fairly good time playing the drums. MRF is inspired by great names from the past (Pink Floyd) and stonnerrock bands (Kyuss). MRF makes a delicious mix between psycadelic rock and hard stonerrock. No genre is too much for MRF, even the punk roots of drummer Krist are reflected in some songs. With a lot of enthusiasm and ambition MRF is now working on building a big repetoire so that live shows can be played.
