Melody Club is a synthpop band hailing from Växjö, Sweden. The band consists of vocalist Kristofer Östergren, Erik Stenemo on guitar, Jon Bordon on synthesizer, Niklas Stenemo on bass guitar and Richard Ankers on drums. The band was formed in January 2000 when its members met in school. Singer Kristofer lived in a rehearsal room with limited amenities, including no kitchen, toilet, or heating. It was in this humble setting that he composed many of the songs for their debut album, using a 3-string acoustic guitar. Seeking more opportunities and inspiration, the band decided to relocate to Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden. They took on odd jobs to sustain themselves while devoting the rest of their time to writing new songs and recording demos. In 2002, Melody Club received a record deal that marked their breakthrough in the music industry. Their song "Palace Station" achieved considerable success, especially in Germany, cementing their position in the industry. This single served as the breakthrough they needed and was followed by the release of their debut album, "Music Machine," which achieved gold certification. The album's success led to a European tour, further expanding their reach and popularity. Melody Club's musical style can be characterized as a fusion of synthpop and glam rock. Their single "Fever Fever" was featured on the soundtrack of the football video game "FIFA 08" by EA Sports. On April 22, 2009, they released their fifth and first self-produced album
