When singer-songwriter Peter Arnout was driven by both coincidence and destiny, he formed the band Melnik. The name was chosen from an ancient bulgarian town surrounded by limestone rocks. At this point in his life, he was in a daze with mystical purity, weltschmerz and lost innocence. This bizarre mixture of emotions and near-cinematic experiences fired his buzz into the creation of many strongly related songs. Dirk Leus, Herman Van Molle and Didier De Vogelas, who complete the brilliant line-up, provide guitar, bass and drums. A solid foundation indeed... Purity, sincerity and intensity are the standard.
