Melloncek was at the beginning a band comprised of Andrea Castelli (who also played bass in a ska-punk band called Shandon, a well known band in Europe that played more than 700 shows in the last 10 years) and drummer Matteo Novello. They played together tracks born of improvization. After meeting the sound engeneer and guitarist Thomas Peres the band was ready to record the songs (that mix up different influences, from psychedelic rock to funky, from jazz to post rock) that are now on their eponymous debut album released by Ghost Record. A strong, unique, bloody and dreamy band Melloncek plays live with seven players including a horn section.
