Raised in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area, Mei Ohara is a half Japanese half English-American musician who now studies music in Boston. Working on a classical performance degree on the violin, Mei Ohara has also begun working on creating music that embodies her vast range of favorite genres. In this project she focuses on capturing a more rock-electronic vibe, but her knowledge of classical theory inevitably plays a big role in her perspective of music. She draws inspiration from everywhere, from the beauty of the vast enigma of the universe to the human psyche and love. In this project, she works with vocals and a variety of synth keyboards, sounds, and programs. She also plays electric violin in the Bostonian rock band, Light.Sweet.Crude.
