Mecha/man, a.k.a. Mecha-man,!!IMPORTANT!!! Now officially Mechachan, REPEAT MECHACHAN! is the stage name of concept artist Michael Villegas b. 1987 in Corpus Christi, TX. Inspired by experimental artists like Buckethead & Merzbow and the ever increasing accessibility to creating music via technology, Mecha/man (NOW MECHACHAN) is intended to be a prolific project theoretically creating an album a week until 2011. This project, titled 2010, was officially concieved and began on the same day January 6, 2010. The first week is to be celebrated with a new album per day. Minimalist, unstructured, bebop guitar oriented jams recorded without practice or pause, edited slightly for convenience, and then uploaded with haste are the mediums with which Mecha/man narrates musical odyssies freely giving voice to any grievance or curiosity regardless of taboo or cohesiveness.
