Meagan Delima is a 21 year old multi-talented R&B/pop songstress, who is slowly winning the hearts of audiences internationally due to her dynamic stage presence and vibrant song-writing. Born in Toronto, ON, music was always part of Meagan’s life. She grew up in a talented family of jazz musicians, where one of her grandfathers was called upon to be one of the best guitarists in Nairobi, Kenya, while her other grandfather was a professional saxophonist in his own jazz big band. Due to being constantly surrounded by music at a young age, Meagan started singing before she learned how to talk. She started studying voice and piano at the age of 6 and began performing by the age of 16 in festivals like the The Downtown Oakville Jazz Festival and the Port Credit Blues Festival. She was known to have a powerful and mature voice in a small package. Meagan’s singing career was changed in her late teens when she picked up a guitar and surprised herself by quickly learning complex jazz chords and walking bass lines. The combination of such polished guitar playing mixed with her warm R&B tone created a unique sound that the Toronto music scene had never heard before. In 2009, Meagan started performing in festivals and jazz bars around Toronto with the “The Meagan Delima Quartet”, working her hardest to make a mark in the music scene. In 2012, Meagan Delima gained the largest crowd at the Downtown Oakville Jazz Festivals main stage before Holly Cole, and in 2014 she placed 1st in Canada
