MC Katia (born Katia Marques de Melo França in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 13 January 1976; died in 13 August 2023) was a funk carioca percursor MC. Widely referred to as the "A Fiel" she rose to prominence in the mid-2000s with the Furacão 2000's songs "Duelo - Ao vivo" and "Duelo 2 - Ao vivo" with MC Nem where she defends the faithful women and MC Nem the mistress.
