Mazhar Alanson and Fuat Güner formed this duo in 1973 and wrote one of the psychedelic classic albums in Turkish music scene Türküz Türkü Çağırırız (which means "We are Turks, we sing Turkish folk songs"). Later on, the bass guitar player Özkan Uğur joined the band and they became MFÖ (the first letter of their names) which is a very famous pop music trio in Turkey, known by almost everyone. However, Mazhar ve Fuat as a psychedelic duo is only known by a few people who are interested in Turkish psychedelic music.
