May's Fern was a little-known band, likely originating from the southern United States, with most of their music released on streaming platforms between late 2014 and early 2015. Their sound can be described as noisy and gloomy experimental rock, with strong shoegaze influences. Lyrics are often hard to discern because of the band's love for distortion. Most of their albums β typically recognizable by a prominent "flower bouquet" cover β feature obscure tones and intentionally heavily distorted instrumentals. In contrast, their singles tend to sound a bit more folky, with significantly less distortion. Since around late 2021, however, May's Fernβs music has disappeared from streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify. The only known remaining source of information is a Web Archive snapshot from around 2019. As to why the band had disappeared there is little to no information.
