Maxi Nil

about

(former singer,co-composer of Elysion, former singer of Visions of Atlantis), current singer of Jaded Star, Maxi Nil was born in Athens, Greece and her love for music was born in the age of 5. After taking flute,guitar and piano lessons,and never succeeded because she was too bored to study,a friend convinced her to join a rock band as a singer at the age of 16.And then the story begins! Maxi started writting lyrics and songs and until now she feels that this is the only thing she could ever do in her life... In 2003 she joined the band On Thorns I Lay with whom she recorded one album which is to be released in 2010! Some of the most important moments for Maxi were supporting Amorphis in 2004, The Gathering in 2007, Diary of Dreams in 2008, sharing the stage with Star Industry in the song 'Last Crusades' which is also included in their live album called "Black Angel White Devil" and singing twice on stage with Moonspell in Athens. In February 2009,and while working on her solo project, she supported the Dutch band Agua De Annique. In June 2009 Maxi joined the Austrian band Visions of Atlantis and recorded two albums and an EP. On 6 December 2013, Visions of Atlantis announced on their Facebook page that Maxi, along with remaining members, departed with the band as the only founder member and drummer Thomas Caser, wanted the band to revert to its original roots from the beginning.
