The project, titled MavaRoz, has brought musicians from different countries, and different disciplines together. In the year 2013, Güldeniz Akpolat shares her sentimental, passionate, rebellious, daring, political and sexy songs upon which there is the touch of a woman and which she has been writing for years, with Roberto Talin. The band, which was founded in the form of Guitar-Vocal, releases its first Ep “Afişte Hayatlar” digitally on July 2014. With the song, named Don-Sütyen, the lyrics, mentioning the difficulties of being a woman ironically, draw attention. Towards the end of the year 2014, Maya Felixbrodt (viola) and Vasilis Kyvranoglu (cajon) take their place in the band. With participation of Italian, Israeli, Greek musicians, a unique sound, which has its source from Anatolia, Mediterranean and Middle East, and which may be classified as ethnic, rock, bossa nova, alternative, pop and folk in part, is obtained. Following a year full of recordings and concerts, MavaRoz releases its debut album “Kırık Ayna” on July 2015. The band, giving concerts in Greece and Israel, takes to the stage at various venues in Istanbul as well and releases its first video, shot by Yals Kim, the Korean director, on December 2015.
