A graduate of the Berklee College of Music and The Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts, Maura Jensen is well on her way to becoming the highly-skilled and inspirational singer-songwriter she was created to be. An introvert by nature, she has spent the past 10 years honing her writing craft, and overcoming her stage fright by singing everywhere from living rooms to the Berklee Performance Center. For her, music has never been about fame. If there is any benefit to wide-spread exposure it is for the sake of the message in the songs, not for the sake of the artist. Slowly but most definitely, Maura has traded in her shyness for the confidence that she is making a difference. While she enjoys writing and singing sweet songs with clever lyrics, Maura would not consider herself a true musician if she could not use her talent to change lives, one person at a time. "If I never have a hit song, but I can bring the hurting woman in the back of the room to tears--good tears of course!--I know I'm on the right track."
