Matthew Cooper is the man behind Eluvium, and currently resides in Portland, Oregon. His first release under his real name came in the summer of 2008 with Miniatures being released on fledgling Portland label, Gaarden Records. It was announced on March 1st, 2011 that Cooper had produced the score for the film Some Days Are Better Than Others with the soundtrack set to be released on April 26th via Temporary Records. Cooper has previously stated that he uses his real name for work that he feels holds "a different personality."
