Matt Sharp, formerly of Weezer and The Rentals reunites with Maya Rudolph, former keyboardist and vocalist for The Rentals and of SNL/Movie fame. They have only recorded this one song since Rudolph's departure from The Rentals to pursue comedy and acting, but it's a beautiful version of Tegan and Sara's "Not Tonight." On Sharp's blog, he mentions the song taking on a special meaning for him as he drove cross-country, and felt he had to record the song. With help from Tegan Quin herself, and with the blessings of the sisters Quin, Sharp and Rudolph performed the song live and later recorded it, releasing it for free on Sharp's blog/website.
