Artist
Matt's started playing guitar at 15, and took up electronic music in the mid 90s while studying in the Studio of Interrelated Media Program at Mass Art. While at Mass art he came to the conclusion that an artist could go in any direction, and if he or she goes far enough on that path.. interesting work will come. The trouble, from his point of view, is how the market place effects what paths get explored.. and then, once they are explored, what explorations ever reach you through the market place. So Matt took on an adventure to rethink the existential relationship between artist and the market place. This amounted to studying graphic design, interactive media, marketing, social media, as well as music and art more broadly.. so that he could develop, as a part of the art object.. everything from production, distribution, to the the marketing and communications.. do it at a low cost.. and hopefully at a very high production value.. It's an adventure that he believed would over take the music industry as we know it... and since he set out on this course in the mid 90s, it would seem to be the industry is headed in his direction, if they like it or not!
