Artist
Matthias "Gonzo" Roehr (born in Frankfurt/Germany on 16th April 1962) is mostly known as the guitarist of German Hard Rock band Böhse Onkelz who disbanded in 2005 after 25 years. Matt Roehr, who is living in Uruguay today, started recording his very first solo album Barra Da Tijuca in Brasil and Miami between March and May 2007. It is released in fall 2007 and is quite different to the music of the "Böhse Onkelz". He describes it himself as "Rock, Soul, Funk, Blues and so much more". The focus is - of course - his amazing guitar play which he could never act out completely before with his former band as he said himself. Band lineup in 2007 is as follows: Matt Roehr - Guitars, Vocals Charlie Huhn - Vocals Stephan Weiler - Keyboards and Pianos Gláucio Ayala - Drums Marcelo Linhares - Bass Armando Marcal - Percussion Jurema - Backing vocals Nair - Backing vocals User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
