Matt Hawll is an award winning singer-songwriter from Bracknell, United Kingdom. Matt released his debut album, Streets Of My Mind in October 2024. He won the "Single Of The Year" award, 2024, at the GSMC Music Awards which was held in January 2025. This was for his single "Why'd You Have to Go Away?", which he wrote after the death of his grandfather. Matt is a deep thinker, and writes very deep and personal lyrics. He writes songs on subjects such as, relationship breakdowns, his personal struggles with his mental health, and songs about people who have meant something to him. Matt has an eclectic sound, and lists bands such as Radiohead, Stereophonics, U2 and the Counting Crows as major influences.
