Peter Hallberg (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Oskar Nordenqvist (guitar, vocals, piano) and Simon Aspback (percussion, bas, guitar, violin) officially formed the band Mates of Mine in the summer of 2006. They all grew up together in a small place in the north of Sweden. Peter, Oskar and Simon have been playing and writing music together for quite a few years and are just about to finish the production of an EP and also their first music video. Their sources of inspiration are, amongst others, Stevie Wonder, Peter LeMarc and Billy Joel. At www.myspace.com/matesofmine the band claims they sound like "an old wooden ship".
