Mateo Denali is the product of an eclectic collage of musical influences. The son of legendary singer, songwriter and producer, Eugene McDaniels, Mateo was fed daily doses of classic rock, soul, funk, classical, jazz, pop, folk. hip-hop, reggae and more. Mateo has been performing since the age of five and currently has his roots firmly planted beneath the scenes at some of Los Angeles’ top live music venues. Having performed on the main stages at places like, The Mint, Key Club, Viper Room and the popular House of Blues on Sunset Strip. Mateo has had songs featured in various licencing deals for TV, film, and soundtracks. He has also arranged, produced and performed on major CD releases such as Dane Cook’s Tourgasm sound track (Rhino), and independent releases such as Eugene McDaniels' "Screams and Whispers", and was the featured performer on the song “Signs of Life” from the “Music Inspired by the Movie- Wall-E” EP, marketed exclusively on itunes.
