Masumi Hara, or 原マスミ, born in February 27, 1955, is a Japanese new-wave artist, illustrator, and painter whose music combines the philosophy & techniques of minimalism with Asian and African styles. His first record, Imagination Exchange, debuted in 1982. Masumi collaborated with Yoko Ueno (上野洋子) in 1997 to release the record Nursery Chimes.
