Born in Genova in 1964, Massimo Claus since his first years denotes a musical talent. He started to take private lessons and then, after school, he enrolled the conservatory N. Paganini in Genova, where he graduated with highest votes and two years in advance in classical guitar and composition. After the conservatory, he began his career as a session musician, job he already began during his studies, touring Italy with artists of like Umberto Bindi and Fabrizio De André, Dalla and De Piscopo, also working in collaboration with Franco Battiato on the album "L'era del cinghiale bianco" For many years, then taught at several music schools in Genova, taking courses in music technology. Until the early '90s he works together with Aldo Amoroso theatrical school 'Quinta praticabile' di Genova, doing music for the show, 'Irradio e Stellutis'. In the late '90s he recorded album 'Avatar' with the independent label 'The Garden' which combines the guitar to electronic sounds, a journey inside the human soul through major tracks like 'Anima', 'Uragano', 'Goccia', 'Avalon'. The album achieved great critical acclaim, leading him to publish the book 'Avatar - The guitar of light' in which he talks about the psychological side of musician, by introducing several innovative techniques in plaing the guitar.
